Buenos Aires and then... home sweet home!

So we took a 12 our bus ride to get to Rio Gallegos from Puerto Natales and then hopped on a bus that night (37 hours!) to Buenos Aires... I know you think we are nuts, but we can tell you it was much more comfortable than the 10 hour plane ride!
So when we got to Buenos Aires we decided because we had seen all the sights we wanted to in August that we would eat our way through the city! 2 1/2 days of yummy (cheap) goodness!

And delicious Empanadas!
We had such a wonderful time... this whole trip has been incredible. We just want to thank all of you for all your good thoughts, emails, and prayers for a safe journey for us. We sure appreciated it.

We flew out of Buenos Aires on Feb 28th after standing in about 8,000 lines! We happily boarded our flight and then got to Atlanta to a snowstorm? yup stuck in Atlanta for 12 hours waiting for our flight...

We enjoyed watching the snow from the aiport, but soon we were anxious to get home. So we crossed our fingers as they were calling stand by passengers for the next possible flight... (there were over 50 of us) and by the grace of God or something, our names were called! We arrived into Columbus, Ohio last night around 9 PM. We are at Mom and Dad Stafford's house. While we were at the airport we watched lots of hours of CNN, it sure is different here from when we left. Not the best of news with all the lay offs etc. Anyway we will be in Ohio until the 11th of March. Tony heads to Alabama to work an Outward Bound course and I will be driving back to CT to start applying to MSW programs and look for work in the meantime.
Once again thanks to all of you for stay updated on our journey! We hope to keep the blog going in some form, but not sure yet what that is gonna look like, so stay tuned... one vote for the new name is... Adventures in the USA! What do you think?
lots of love... Cassie & Tony
